She is my brother, Ron's wife, mother to five, and grandmother to eight. Kathy died from brain cancer. She has meant a lot in our lives and we are very sad at her passing. We know that we will see her again but wish she could have been in our lives here on earth a little longer. We love you Kathy.

THE BOY IN THE BACKYARD

One mother was late picking up her son from Preschool. As she was leaving she said, "your grandson is outside." I said I didn't have any grandchildren here at the time and she told me there was a little boy in the backyard. I went back to see who it was and there was ALEX!!! (My daughter, Kelly's little boy) Of course, I yelled, "Alex, what are you doing here?" I gave him lots of kisses and he asked for Opa. Kelly stopped in for a few minutes on the way back to Utah. While Alex was at our home, he ran from the backyard to the schoolroom to the closet and asked if he could vacuum. We loved it! Alex will be back in a month and will stay with us (Parents are coming too.) I'll get pictures then!

VISITORS FROM UTAH!!!

Our daughters, Becky and Liesel came to spend a week with us. Along with Becky came Drew (5), Clark (3), and Ty (1). With Liesel came Cade (9 months). We had so much fun! Grant taught the boys how to play "bully" with him! It was very funny, even Ty was in on the fun!

NEW CALLINGS IN THE CHURCH

Yesterday, Sunday, February 7, 2010, Grant was sustained as 2nd Counselor in the Chino Valley Ward of the Chino California Stake. This is the singles ward of our stake. We will now attend the Singles Ward every Sunday. The ward is located in Diamond Bar. We are excited to be working with the YSA of our stake and look forward to having a great relationship with them! Also, our son, Robert, is in this ward. So as a mom, I will make sure to stay out of his way as much as possible :)
